4 May 2007: 4.22am - Latest Election News!

Following the 2007 City Council elections on 3 May, the Liberal Democrats remain the second largest party on Norwich City Council. There are now 11 Lib Dem Councillors. The other parties stand as follows: 15 Labour, 10 Green and just 3 Conservative Councillors.

It is expected that the Lib Dems will continue to lead the opposition to a minority Labour administration, though it is not yet clear whether the Green Party will continue to officially support Labour, as they have done since May 2006.

Further news regarding control of the Council will appear on this website as soon as possible.
